If we can get EV point without lvling and Fint can reset them, then whipe don't need.

Yea thats basically it, but i think a whipe would just be better. I mean yea im going to miss my epic lapras and my shiny nidoking and all the hard work i put into making money and getting TM's, HM's and getting pvp. But im sure in a long run it'll all be better.

Even though there is people that don't want the P-Wipe, it was stated in the beginning that it was in testing, and it was going to be made from time to time. If we do or don't, Pokemon Citrine is so popular nowadays, that either way, we would have a good player base. So even if people don't or do agree, they will mostly likely still play the game, if not the newer player base will take over. I'm pretty sure we would go over 60 players in the first week.

Yes, and I am sure the popularity would increase if a player wipe was had as well. I mean yes, I put a lot of hard work into my pokemon, but I firmly believe that it would be better for our general public, the game, the continuity if we just did the easy route of a player wipe, it'd be much more beneficial and supporting to the player base as Edie said. Plus, I think I wanna make a new key anyway as I am getting tired of good old Mikva...So whether we have a wipe or not...I'm going to start over xD

Fint wrote:What if we remove the EV's of all Pokemon instead of removing all the Pokemon aswell?

If that is possible then i think that is a great solution and middle ground for people who don't want a wipe and for the people who do want a wipe. People who maybe made mistake leveling up their Pokemon and getting wrong EVs get to retrain and people who spent great time breeding for correct natures and passing down move etc. Won't lose all their hard work.

I don't see the downside to this plan, it would made both sides happy instead of just one or the other. Now if there was a quest to get that item that allows your Pokemon to gain double the EV it would be a perfect Citrine world. So i really hope this is possible.

The wipe idea seems more popular, and as for hard work there is a keyword to all of this. The game still isn't released fully, it's in Beta and like other said, even if there is no player wipe now, chances are there might be one in the future...I just think this is a good opportunity to do the player wipe, but it all comes down to Fint.

Indeed, while resetting the EVs does seem nice, doesn't matter, starting over with Tenes anyway, but I still support the idea of a reset, and even major characters who caught rare shinies such as Samil and Bara are in support of it, which means that overall it's propular. Resetting the EVs is simpler and easier, but just basing this on a Per Capita thing, I would base it about 70% of the population would agree with a wipe. Most would prefer wipes over redoing EVs.

While I understand 90% of you "normally thinking" people will like a whipe the fact remains alot of "less bright people" play this game aswell.
Event though the discussion if I could be fuggered to pay any attention to them at all or not might be considered "meaningful", since the answer to "who needs them" is "nobody" I rather give a solution to both sides to prevent them from having anything to bitch about.
For people who want to use their old Pokemon -> a 1 time EV reset, for all others the possibility to -> Start over.

It's not all that difficult Razz

In that case then I will probably take the 1 time EV reset thing for my baralai15 and then possibly make another account i can just start over with? Is that ok?

That wouldn't be too much programming, in fact, I like that idea...The first time they start to play after it being brought up, a popup with three options.

EV Reset
Stay the Same
Start Over

Or it could just be EV Reset and Start Over.

If that was given as an option everyone could be happy with decisions and all that. I actually think that idea is much more amazing then succumbing to either side.

When they select the option, it saves to their name and everything is wiped, for people who started over,or EV Reset they log off and back in for changes to take effect, I don't know the complexity of the programming of it, but it would solve everyone's problem. Maybe a better thing would also be having an icon available for people who mess up and want to start over completely, such as...the icon saying. Reset Character and it resets them completely.
